The Transformative Power of OKRs
Rigoni di Asiago is an organic company with over 100 years of history, producing honey, jams, and spreads. For the past couple of decades, it has experienced significant growth, driving a thorough review and renewal of its business model and future growth strategy.
As a guest of Oblics, Luca Nascimben, People Director at Rigoni di Asiago, explains how OKRs support and drive the transformation and evolution of the company’s new strategy.
Measuring Progress and Creating Synergies with OKRs
Translating a vision for 2026 into actionable objectives requires designing and implementing a shared strategy that resonates across all levels of the company.
The company needed a tool capable of enhancing communication and collaboration among different business functions while effectively measuring progress. This led to the choice of adopting OKRs, which served as a transformative lever and a means to integrate the strategy into the daily operations.
OKRs – Special Allies for Success
The journey towards success began with defining and sharing the strategy with the entire leadership team. This was followed by involving marketing, sales, and operations to tailor the strategy to each specific function.
Following these initial phases, OKRs were then tailored for three cross-functional groups – called “Missions”:
- Customer Mission
- Product Mission
- Enablers Mission
The widespread adoption of OKRs as a performance management and strategic planning framework required the adoption of supportive technological tools. Microsoft Viva Goals allowed to convert strategic plans into actionable steps. With its transparent and dynamic alignment, and a comprehensive logbook that facilitates navigation, collaboration, and the exchange of information, Microsoft Viva Goals fosters the development of new ideas and cross-functional initiatives across teams, functions, and missions.
The effective use of the platform allowed Rigoni di Asiago to quickly see the first tangible benefits and progressively – but increasingly – raise the bar.
