We are pleased to announce the launch of the book “OKR For All” published by Ayros, for which we curated the Italian version.

Why did we do it?
Because we strongly believe in the transformative power of this goal-setting & management methodology, which has enabled hundreds of organizations to achieve unimaginable results and is accessible to everyone.

But let’s take a step back: what are OKRs?
“Objectives and Key Results” represent the most modern and innovative framework for goal setting and management. This methodology starts with the search for a clear sense of identity and operation within the organization and its teams, which is crucial for creating “purpose-driven work for every employee,” as the method explains. Additionally, OKRs involve effective planning and strategic execution of priorities.

Despite OKRs rapidly gaining traction in many of the world’s most renowned companies (giants like Google, Spotify, Netflix, Airbnb), which have managed to scale their organizations and achieve incredible results, companies often struggle to implement them.

“OKR for All” is designed to be a practical and accessible guide on how OKRs can help us give deep meaning and purpose to our work, engage and empower people, create a culture of transparency and feedback, and set ambitious, motivating, meaningful, and shared goals.

The manual is the result of the extensive personal experience of Vetri Vellore, the author, founder of Ally.io, and current Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Viva Goals, who discovered OKRs in 2015 while working as a Software Engineer at Microsoft.

The four parts of the book are rich with insights, anecdotes, models, and examples dedicated to themes, questions, challenges, and successes encountered by the author in his interactions with thousands of companies:

  • “OKR: The Fundamentals” introduces the core principles of the OKR method. What are OKRs? What do they look like? Why have they worked? And, most importantly, why might they not always work?
  • “Applying OKR Principles” discusses the tactical application of OKRs, starting with how to effectively define objectives (what you aim to achieve), followed by setting key results (how to measure progress and success). It also explores the initiatives and projects needed to reach these key results.
  • “Managing the Company with OKRs” illustrates the rhythms and rituals necessary for effective OKR management.
  • “OKR: How to Start.” guides you through building a comprehensive plan and maintaining the required cadence to avoid common pitfalls and ensure long-term success.

Whether you are a founder, executive, manager, or employee, this book is your practical guide to mastering OKRs and building a purpose-driven culture. It’s designed to help you cultivate an organization focused on collaboratively devising and executing strategies to achieve – and exceed – your goals.

We strongly believe in the power of OKRs and that this book will help spread their benefits across our country.
